This two day workshop will discuss the importance of community connections in developing individualized person-centered community supports. Topics to be discussed include Belonging and Community Inclusion; Using Community Conversations as a way of Engaging Communities to Open Up New Partners and Opportunities; Engaging Community Organizations; Community Mapping and Friends Connecting People with Disabilities and Community Members. These topics will describe practical strategies for broadening individual community connections and developing a network of community opportunities and natural supports.
